This may be the closest you will ever come to the field at Rice Eccles stadium. Located in the south end zone of the stadium, join us for an evening celebrating our U Family members! Price includes dinner, activities. Cash bar. Join us from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.

FAQs

  • Yes, students that plan to attend U Family Weekend events will need to purchase a U Family Weekend Pass and tickets to any events they plan to attend. 

  • This year’s tickets were extremely limited due to the switch to the Big 12 conference. Ticket quantities fluctuate year to year. We have limited the number of tickets allowed per family in order to maximize the number of families able to enjoy the game.

  • Yes, you can buy individual tickets through resellers like TicketMaster, StubHub, etc at your own risk. These are generally season ticket holders selling their personal tickets.

  • Yes, you need to have it downloaded to your Utah Tickets app in order to do so.

  • U family Weekend tickets are located in Sections S4, S5, W06, W07, W08 in the southwest corner of the stadium.

  • The MUSS is for students only. You can read about features and details of your student’s MUSS pass here: https://ulink.utah.edu/s/1077/20/signature.aspx?sid=1077&gid=1&pgid=941

  • If you would like your student to sit with you, they must purchase a ticket.

  • Tailgate locations are sold out years in advance. Our event only occurs once per year and we are not given an “official” tailgate location.

  • We will not be serving alcohol as a part of the U Family tailgate event, but guests are welcome to BYOB.

  • Yes! This is a great place for younger kids to be part of the fun. Dave and Busters offers a video game arcade, along with a cash bar for those 21+. Think of it as a family-friendly sports bar.

  • Dave and Busters is located near downtown SLC in a district known as The Gateway.

  • The parking lot at Rice Eccles stadium will offer free parking for those joining us on Friday evening.

  • On Game Day, there is no on-campus parking available. It is strongly advised to use TRAX to get to campus – the RED line will get you right to our front door and is free with your game day ticket.

  • We will allow for refunds on football, tailgate, registration and watch party tickets before September 15th. There is no option for full or partial refunds after this date.

  • Yes, to https://belong.utah.edu/u-family-weekend/ before September 15th to add people to your registration. Be sure to use your student’s UID number.

  • Unfortunately we aren’t able to ship merchandise, but are happy to have your student pick it up at the registration table during Friday and Saturday open hours. Make sure they bring their UID and the QR code confirming your order.

  • Yes, they will need to provide the QR code you received with your registration.
