Registration Information

This year we are curating several activities for our U Family to get to know campus and all that it has to offer. Your admission to U Family weekend gives you free access to locations on or near campus, deals at on-campus food locations, a welcome U Family Weekend swag bag, special ticket access and more.

Before you register, some important information:

  • Children, adults, grandparents, friends and other family members are all welcome to attend.
  • A U Family Weekend Pass ($25) must be purchased for each individual and in order to participate or to be eligible for football, tailgate or other activities or tickets.
  • You will need your student’s UID number to register
  • Football tickets will be limited to 4 per family.
  • Refunds / changes are permitted until September 30th.

$25 Registration includes:

  • Free admission to the Utah Museum of Fine Arts (URL), Natural History Museum of Utah (URL), Red Butte Garden
  • Campus store discounts – 20%
  • BOGO Free meals at Peterson Heritage Center & Kahlert Village dining halls
  • U Family swag including a U Family credential, U Family sticker & branded koozie & stadium bag.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18

Campus Tours

Stop by the Welcome Center anytime between 10am and 1pm to chat with a Student Admissions Ambassador OR sign up for a 45 minute tour:

Central Route
10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM
Peek inside the Marriott Library to see where your student finds resources or a cup of coffee, breeze through the Student Union where some of the biggest campus events take place and pop into Gardner Commons to understand why this is a hub on campus. Tour lasts approximately 45 minutes, wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for outdoor temperatures. Capacity 60
Housing Route
10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM
Want to understand what’s happening in housing on campus? Join us for a housing tour along with a zip through the Student Life Center to understand all the fitness, activities, and fun things this building has to offer. Tour lasts approximately 45 minutes, wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for outdoor temperatures. Capacity 60

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18

U Family Round Up at the Ken Garff Club & Utah Presents

    • U Family Weekend Huddle. This may be the closest you will ever come to the field at Rice Eccles stadium. Located in the south end zone of the stadium, join us for an evening celebrating our U Family members! Price includes dinner, activities. Cash bar.  Ticket limit is 1300, price is $40.

    • Utah Presents at Kingsbury Hall is offering our U Family Weekend a 20% discount on tickets to Delfeayo Marsalis & The Uptown Jazz Orchestra at 7:30pm. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19

Tailgate Party & Football Game

    • Tailgate party – Time TBA (2 hours prior to kickoff) $50 includes buffet and drinks, U swag – ticket limit is 800
    • Football game vs TCU – time TBA - $100 ticket – ticket limit is 990
    • Watch Party at Dave & Busters, Downtown SLC - $40 per person, includes buffet and drinks & U swag. Ticket limit is 300

  • If you are looking for some down time, we recommend a few local spas or here are neighborhood locales to unwind with your student.
