Ticket sales for the 2025
U Family Weekend will run differently than in years past, please read carefully!
August 1st
Registration for the random drawing for U Family Weekend Football tickets opens at 9am MDT. There is no cost to register, anyone who is interested in U Family Weekend football tickets must register and indicate how many tickets you desire. Tickets are limited to 4 per family.
August 3rd
U Family Weekend football ticket random drawing registration closes at 11:59pm MDT
August 4th
Individuals who have been randomly selected will be notified by email from belong@utah.edu. You will have 48 hours to complete your purchase. U Family Weekend Football Tickets include a U Family Weekend pass. You will also, have the option to add additional purchases such as the tailgate event and merchandise.
August 5th
Registration opens for families not interested in football tickets. The U Family Weekend Pass will include weekend favorites like free Natural History Museum of Utah, Utah Museum of Fine Arts, and Red Butte Garden & Arboretum entry, plus Buy One Get One meals at campus dining locations. New this year will be our first ever Soap Box Derby and College Open Houses. Optional tailgate / watch party, Sunday brunch, and custom merchandise will be available for purchase.

Yes, students that plan to attend U Family Weekend events will need to purchase a U Family Weekend Pass and tickets to any events they plan to attend.

Ticket quantities fluctuate year to year. We have limited the number of tickets allowed per family in order to maximize the number of families able to enjoy the game.

Yes, you can buy individual tickets through resellers like TicketMaster, StubHub, etc at your own risk. These are generally season ticket holders selling their personal tickets.

Yes, you need to have it downloaded to your Utah Tickets app in order to do so.

If you would like your student to sit with you, they must purchase a ticket.

Tailgate locations are sold out years in advance. Our event only occurs once per year and we are not given an “official” tailgate location.

We will not be serving alcohol as a part of the U Family tailgate event, but guests are welcome to BYOB.

On Game Day, there is no on-campus parking available. It is strongly advised to use TRAX to get to campus – the RED line will get you right to our front door and is free with your game day ticket.
